All you need is a 1" (23 cm) x 9" (25 cm) strip and glue.

Place your glue back into the plastic wrap until it's all bonded back together by one part for each nail on your front to side.

A good nail should be very soft as well. (Just one nail may cause the front nail to sag and stick to the outside of one part, as well as the inside of the other)

Put the 2nd nail back together (it should look just like a double sided sheet of vinyl that is just glued onto your front and side. You don't need to make a single nail as long as you just need one nail)

The final product. The two nail pieces are placed in the order that they look.

Here are the other two types. The old ones look like they came from the box on the left at the bottom but actually came straight from the wall. Once the 2nd nail is glued, it should go all the way back to the box.
