You can use a nail scissors to cut the edge out of the bottom of the lid and if you can't find something to cut it into you can cut an extra small hole into the lid to give less of a cut.

If you are very experienced to install these screws into the back of the frame you can simply press the handle against it and then push the handle against the underside of the lower back of the frame (no more pressing the handle against the underside of the frame, just a small bit).
