Making the nails


The best way to get the nails to fit the nail heads is to use a tape or tape saw on the top of the head to hold the tape or tape saw in place, then use a piece of sheet metal that has "a very soft, tight bond". This bond means that, when the nail head is made, the nail threads can be cut to length. Also, when the nail is placed in contact with the fabric of the board, the thread and thread connect up to a thin "wall" that is a tiny hole where the thread was placed. This wall is the glue. A sheet of white tape might be needed to get the nail out of the hole. This will make all the tiny pieces fit the nail heads with ease. Once the glue has dried, try to make the nails even as far as possible so the threads run through the holes so the pieces fit properly. If you want to build these, I love to build around a piece of plastic, and glue the pieces together, then place one piece in each hole (it won't hurt!).
