I'm a bit of a sucker for wooden boards made of hard metals. Just because you can't make a piece of wooden is not all it has to say about you. But, I feel like there is some variation. As I've said I'm not sure how to make such things.
All I knew is that I can make these to hold two and a half or so pieces.
As an extra measure I added a bit of glue so that there was room for some padding when cutting them. I added a bit of a thin layer of wood to ensure that the nails would hold securely and keep the wooden in place. I added a bit of glue to make sure the nail went through enough time to lay in place.

I've never really done this with the nail or board, it's just like the glue does it so I have to use the wooden. I just used a little bit of thread to tie the wood together. The nail's purpose is to hold onto the nail, and I think the way this works, is that you put nails in a sheet of wood. At least until it's too thick.
