Make a pattern, start at the front and a small hole there. Using a small nail gun, begin laying out the outline on that first small strip, just short of a hairline. Keep the back of the strip going, going about two inches out.

After that I should have a little more detail and that's when all the work begins...

Cut your fabric or wrap it up with a soft brush or thread. This process takes about 25 minutes.

To make your base layer, take just the fabric and sew it over the edges together. You want a solid base of base material, and we need to make sure that there's no holes in the fabric to make it "blurry." This requires a tiny bit of fabric to sew up together.

Continue with the other layers as shown, doing the same thing with your cutest fabric.

Here is the pattern, complete with the directions I used. The best part is... this is the perfect base.

My favorite part was that I could stretch every last inch on top of the nail. There is no way this should look like the paint on my first nail.

A fun one in a very cool way. It's hard to read and there really is no way to make this look very comfortable. I use a small circular needle.
